It’s the quiet intimate spaces that capture my attention. It is these special places where I take the time to relax and capture the image on canvas. Whether it is one of the city parks, alleys, or unique historical building sites, I set up an easel or sketch pad and gather the visual information.
I have always returned to oil painting. During my creative life I have worked with different mediums. I enjoy the control of watercolors and gouache, and graphite on paper, painting with acrylics en plein aire painting which can be very frustrating, and pen & ink sketching. But, I return to the oil paint for the texture, the feel, and the flexibility.
My works have been in many juried art shows in Colorado, I have assembled several Solo art exhibits, and I have won numerous awards too.
